Forgiveness

Unforgiveness sentences your mind.  Unforgiveness steals your love, kills your relationships and destroys your destiny.

Satan’s plan is opposite of God’s purpose for your life.

The subject of forgiveness is mention about 100 times in the bible. Let’s first look at how the world views forgiveness.

“I will forgive but I won’t forget”.  Is the way the world thinks.  We often develop standards based on how we feel, and they become habits.

(New covenant)

Matthew 6:14-15
“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you DO NOT forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

This scripture alone should stir us up on the subject of forgiveness. Expecting something from others we aren’t willing to practice ourself is a double standard.

Hebrews 8:12
“For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more”

To have unforgiveness or only to have partial forgiveness is still unforgiveness. It will rob you of your forgiveness from God. Be conscious of these snares they can entrap you.

Even Jesus said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”.

Who are you not forgiving? What sins of others have you made an inner vow NOT to forget? These are serious questions and could be the answer to many of the things going on in your life.

Prayer
May God open your eyes to the pain you cradle and refuse to let go of. I pray you Choose to forgive and to forget those who have hurt you. Flee from hypocrisy. Have a clear heart and mind when you seek God for your own sins and downfalls. Knowing you have forgiven all. Resist the painful memories, cast your cares upon Jesus and do not develop a double standard. Pray for those who have hurt you and ask for the same forgiveness for yourself. Lord, wake those who sleep and overwhelm us with your truth. In Jesus name.

In closing, forgiveness is a process, depending on the level of pain. It can time to heal but your healing can happen when you submit to the instructions of the word of God. Remember to be forgiven we MUST forgive others. The word tells us to forgive and forget. Don’t follow the world and the counsel opposite of the word.

Double mindedness is double standards. In other words, what is expected of others is not expected of oneself. Sin is sin! The world has blinded many on this subject. Awaken believers. Don’t allow worldly opinions to dilute and confuse the instructions of God.

Jesus brought change every place He went. He healed the sick, He set the captives free, He taught the kingdom of God is coming. When anyone experiences true deliverance, your eyes will be opened to the truth.

The word of God is the truth we all strife to live by. Know it, study it and live by it.
A simple word brings forth incredible victories when we apply them to our life.
Forgive and you will also be forgiven. Have no malice or unforgiveness toward no man!
